Soleimani’s Iran

I was born in Iran and came to the United States as a child through a refugee program. Living between two cultures and two countries has given me the gift—and the curse—of seeing the world from an outsider’s perspective.
I am a musician at my core. I approach all creative work through rhythm; without it, no story, song, or live experience can hold an audience’s attention. My composing credits include TED Radio Hour, Wild Card, The Indicator, and more.
As co-founder of Studio Z+R, I bring that same instinct and my love of live performance into physical space. Together with my partner, Zak Forrest, I create immersive experiences that combine light and sound. This fall, we premiere Animalcule at the legendary AREA15 in Las Vegas.
I use my rare combination of skills to turn ambitious ideas into finished products. From shaping a narrative and conducting interviews to production, music composition, sound design, and video editing, I can carry a project from its first idea to its final form.
